Being married to a church minister is a unique calling! It is often a great joy and privilege, but it can also be challenging, lonely and exhausting.

We all need encouragement to persevere as we serve Jesus in his local church, and love and support our husbands in their ministry.

MEET THE TEAM

The London Ministry Wives conference is organised by a team of volunteers. If you are interested in supporting with any of the practical aspects of the conference please get in touch.

  • ANNA DAVIS

    Anna is married to Stuart and lives in that delightfully named part of London called Tooting! She is an amazing organiser of all things that need organised, including feeding us so well at each conference. She’s also the lovely lady who puts flowers and nice hand soap & hand cream in the ladies loos at the conference.

  • JANE GIBBS

    Jane is married to Dave and although not one of the founding members of the team has ably stepped up to the mark. Jane, Dave and their children live in Wanstead, which she says is in east London, which was actually a surprise as yours truly always thought Jane lived in the west of London.

  • AMY HALL

    Amy lives with her husband and growing boys in New Barnet where her husband serves serves at Lyonsdown Church. Amy works in the city as an aviation solicitor and is learning how to balance everything.

  • CHARLIE GIBB

    Charlie is married to Sam and together they serve at Hope Church Vauxhall, sharing Jesus with friends and neighbours on the local estate. Charlie is enjoying being a mum, and works part-time supporting businesses to employ disadvantaged jobseekers.

The London Ministry Wives Conference began in 2006 to help provide this encouragement. The conference has grown over the years but we remain committed to the same aim. Being based in London, many of those who attend the conference are in an urban ministry context and the content can sometimes reflect this; however we welcome ministry wives from any location and ministry context to attend.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The one and only, living and true God, in three eternal persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption, judgement and in all things past, present and future.

The full deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God; his virgin conception by the Holy Spirit and his coming in real and sinless humanity as the Christ promised in the Scriptures; his death on the cross for our sins, his bodily resurrection to rule heaven and earth and his return to judge all people and renew his creation.

The universal sinfulness and guilt of all people rendering everyone subject to God’s just wrath and condemnation to eternal separation from God in hell.

Redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death once and for all time of our representative and penal substitute, Jesus Christ our Lord, the only mediator between God and people.

Justification by grace through faith in Christ alone as an act of God’s mercy by which sinners may be both pardoned of all sin and imputed with the righteousness of God in Christ.

The need for the Holy Spirit to make the work of Christ effective to sinners, granting new life and repentance from sin towards God and faith in Jesus Christ our Lord.

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit in all who are regenerate to produce an increasing likeness to Christ in character and behaviour and witness.

The one, holy, apostolic, heavenly church to which all true believers belong.

The future personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ to judge all people, save believers to share his glory in his renewed creation and to justly punish unbelievers in hell.

The supreme divine authority, inerrancy, sufficiency and consistency of Holy Scripture, which is the Word of God who does not lie, in all matters of faith and conduct for salvation.

The preservation by God of all who are regenerate for heaven.
